Pursuing Restoration? Walk by Faith

God restores families

It is scary to start over in life. Huge setbacks, whether medical or moral, can cripple the soul. Guilt, shame, and many other feelings drive our thoughts and can leave us paralyzed for years.

When we lean into God, read, study, and internalize scripture, we find hope. Scripture validates our feelings. It acknowledges thoughts and feelings, proving our connection with humanity.

God, through scripture,  encourages us. Maybe that is why the Psalms are great medicine for the soul. Many psalmists eloquently express what we often do not vocalize.

But, check this out, as we read the Psalms and other texts in the Bible, it is essential to focus on how God not just forgives us, but redeems and restores.

Just reading David’s story, from shepherd boy to king, to adulterer/rapist, to murderer, to deep repentance in Psalm 51, we can consider how David’s faith and God’s faithfulness restored David’s relationship with God.

You can experience restoration, too! Stepping into the flow of the Holy Spirit by hearing and obeying the leading, whispered or shouted, to your soul.

Then…

Walk by faith.

Baby steps are required. Remember, the faith of a tiny mustard seed is better than no faith at all.

Trust God.When we align with God, our lives change.

Forgive yourself as Christ forgave you and TRUST.

Align with God.

Continue to work on becoming new in Christ.

And trust that your faith in God will usher you into peace, wellness, and restoration.

Be blessed.
